How can baby teeth save a life?!

As you know baby or primary teeth are the first set of teeth which appears in baby's mouth by the age of almost 6 months and it should remain with the child until the age of exfoliation and replacement.

But the surprising thing you may not know is that, these little primary teeth can save a child's life one day.

Scientists and doctors found that little primary teeth can be like umbilical cord in containing stem cells.

Stem cells are this type of cells which can proliferate to any type of cells forming certain tissue type(tissue regeneration) and it is found that stem cells also could be used in treating previously incurable diseases such as diabetes, heart diseases and a large group of other diseases.

Stem cells have the advantages to live for a long time and grow rapidly in culture only if they are stored correctly.

This means that if the child is in an emergency case or suffering from certain chronic disease

and his body needs certain tissue type, stem cells extracted from his teeth could be used to replace damaged tissue forming new healthy one.

So parents should give great concern to the time of their children's teeth exfoliation, which range from 6 to12 years old in most children, and try to save the exfoliated teeth as correct as possible.

Now, there are a number of banks which can receive exfoliated baby teeth, extract stem cells and preserve them somehow, in liquid nitrogen cryopreservation vault, to make them alive as long as possible to be used in the time of need.

Extracted stem cells from baby teeth have become a promising discovery to a large number of parents who have children with chronic diseases hoping that their children could recover and become healthy again and we also hope that.
