Developing countries are facing a big problem because their best doctors are migrating daily to countries like USA, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom and Germany, because these countries have big shortage in high skilled workers especially doctors so they attract doctors everywhere to travel there. It is not that hard for doctors to migrate they just have to pass some medical examinations to be able to practice medicine in these developed countries and this is an comparison between these examinations: USMLE vs PLAB vs MCCE vs AMC According to a study published in BMJ Journal and conducted by 5 researches from Harvard University: patients treated by international medical graduates had a 11.2% mortality compared to 11.6% for those treated by U.S. medical school graduates in the 30 days following hospitalization which proves that doctors from developed countries are providing better healthcare service than American doctors. The question here, why doctors are leaving their countries and families and travelling to developed countries, I think there are many factors behind this fact: 1- They have many obstacles in their countries, they have many financial problems in their countries for example doctors in Egypt are paid about 1.400$ per year which is less than what an American doctor got in 1 month or even 1 week. 2- They have repeated problems with the patients, every day we hear about accidents in their hospitals where patients are fighting with them even for simple causes, while this rarely occurs in developed countries as they have strict rules. 3- There is no good training problems in their countries, they have to teach themselves which is very hard for a doctor who doesn’t have time and money, while a country like USA has the best training program for doctors in the world so you are paid and training in the same time.
